ReMax Eastern Lakefield – a History
The ReMax Eastern office in Lakefield, currently home to local realtors, was established in 1979 by Fraser Hamilton and his partner Vern Hamilton. The brothers ran the business as Hamilton & Hamilton Real Estate until 1995 when it was purchased by ReMax and the Hamilton’s joined the ReMax organization.
Craig Hamilton, Fraser’s son, joined the business in 1998; Craig grew up in the area and attended the local high school and then Carleton University. After a number of years in the construction business he joined his father and uncle in the real estate business, Vern’s son Jason is also part of the Hamilton contingent at the ReMax Lakefield office.
The Hamilton’s enjoy selling rural and waterfront properties in the Lakefield area, surrounded by the beautiful Kawartha Lakes including Stoney Lake and Clear Lake, just a few minutes drive from town.
ReMax currently enjoys a 30% market share in the Peterborough area and the Lakefield office has 15 agents who all work together to sell your home or find you your next one!
